Isabella Leonarda 400th anniversary concert - Cappella Fede
Formed by their musical director Peter Leech in 2008, Cappella Fede (named after Innocenzo Fede, maestro di cappella of the London Catholic Chapel of King James II), comprises performers who work with some of the UK’s finest period vocal and instrumental ensembles. Specialising in both secular and sacred music from c.1650-c.1790 and at the cutting-edge of the latest musicological research, they have performed a wide variety of repertoire, including the first modern performances of rediscovered baroque and early classical works by composers such as Innocenzo Fede, Sebastiano Bolis, Antonio Cossandi, Thomas Kingsley SJ, Miguel Ferreira, Antoine Selosse SJ, Niccolò Jommelli, and Giovanni Battista Costanzi. Concert activity has taken them to venues as far afield as Liverpool, Durham, Hereford, London and Rome.
